Clothing Guide

What to wear . . . it is the first question I am asked once a session is booked  In a few words - COLOR and Fun.  These are pictures that are meant to show personality.  All white/black shirts and jeans - that isn't what your  family looks like.  You have personality and now is the time to show it!  I usually suggest that for a family portrait you choose 2 or three colors to base your selections from.  Such as blues and greens, or reds and blues. If you are choosing clothing for a young child 5 and under, this is your chance to pull out the fun personality loving items.  Rains boots, big twirly skirts, a fun umbrella, fun hats think bright, bold and FUN - don't be shy! When it comes to a newborn session, think simple.  Newborns are so, so,  . . .wonderful (sigh).  Big frilly outfits will overpower them.   A simple white onesie, or better yet a diaper or their birthday suit.  Don't forget to think about what YOU will wear.  Yes, mom and dad, you will be in some too.  Wear a solid color so that you can be a backdrop for baby.  Seniors and Teen sessions should be thought of as a fashion shoot.
